Raised in Arviat, Nunavut in an Inuk-Greek family Sophia developed her knowledge of practices and philosophies in indigenous art forms and Inuit's contributions to Canada. Growing up alongside her father in the gallery, she listened to him share his knowledge and love for First Nations people. Sophia now carries on this tradition in his memory.
